What is the Crop Walk? Crop stands for Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty and is a fund-raising event sponsored by Church World Service, better known as CWS. They are an international relief development and refugee resettlement agency.

This particular walk has been happening of the first Sunday of May for 23 years and is named Wayne-Westland Crop Walk. Money raised by our walk is used by CWS to provide food, clean water, medical care, disaster relief and self-help development efforts for needy people through-out the world including the United States. 25% of money raised at our walk will be donated to local organizations St. Mary Outreach (Bolde Food Depot), Salvation Army, Good Hope Lutheran Food Pantry and FISH.

Walk if you can, if not you can sponsor one of the walkers.

By participating in the 22st Annual Wayne-Westland Crop Walk, you can contribute of this important ministry.

A sign up table will be in Fellowship Hall Sunday, May 23th and May 30th (see Jan Podgers).
